Terms of Service

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Consentico: EU Withdrawal Shopify app ("the app"), published by Consentico. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

The service

The app helps Shopify merchants offer the electronic withdrawal function required for EU B2C sales — a labelled withdrawal button reachable without a customer login, a two-step form with a separate confirmation step, and an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium — in line with Art. 11a of Directive 2011/83/EU (as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2673) and national transpositions such as § 356a BGB.

Not legal advice

The app is a compliance tool, not a substitute for legal advice. You are responsible for the placement and prominence of the withdrawal function, for the products and contract types to which a statutory withdrawal right applies, and for your own legal assessment. We maintain the mechanism and the official statutory wording based on the market you sell to; we do not provide legal counsel.

Plans and billing

The compliant withdrawal flow is free for unlimited withdrawals. Paid features (branding, email editing, reminders, team notifications, evidence pack) are billed through Shopify's Billing API. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from within the app; a downgrade only removes a paid enhancement and never breaks the legally required flow.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to present false or misleading withdrawal information to consumers.

Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update the app and these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use.
