- What does the EU withdrawal-button law require?
- Since 19 June 2026, Art. 11a of the Consumer Rights Directive (in Germany, § 356a BGB) requires shops selling to EU consumers to offer a clearly labelled withdrawal function reachable without a customer login: a "Withdraw from contract here" button, a form, a separate "Confirm withdrawal" step, and an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium with the date and time. This app provides all of it.
- Isn't Shopify's returns feature enough?
- Shopify's self-serve returns and cancellations require the shopper to sign in with a customer account (email + OTP). They have no statutory label, no separate confirmation step, and no timestamped receipt — and guest buyers have no login-free path at all.
